Holland's theory. Part 5

work environments (work environments)

continuation of the theses of II (see: http://stubotagebuch.blogspot.com/2010/10/hollands-theorie-teil-3.html , Brown 2002, p. 388f.)

5th Environments are then experienced as strengthening or empowering of people and satisfying when environmental patterns resemble the patterns of personality. Similarity between work environment and individual behavior leads to stability.

6th Incongruent interactions stimulate behavioral change and, conversely, encourage interactions congruent to conduct stability. People tend to change or afterwards to be as the dominant person in the environment. The greater the congruence between person and environment, the greater is this tendency. The person with the greatest mismatch will be amended at least in their behavior.

7th A person resolves incongruence by seeking a new and congruent work environment or by changing personal behavior and their perceptions.

8th The available interaction interactions between person and the job sequence usually leads to a series of Success and Satisfaction cycles.
